Don’t miss this perfect trip to see the most important places in Scottish history: Stirling, William Wallace, whiskey, golf and the University of Saint Andrews. Get to know the characters and places that have built Scotland’s identity.

Important information:

  • Stirling Castle has to be booked in advance by the customer. Please contact us and we will help you.
  • Distillery tour runs from 17/05.
  • In some days the tour can be done with the stops in a reverse order to have the best tour possible.

A 190 High Street (Royal Mile, Edinburg)

We will leave from our meeting point: 190 High Street (in the Royal Mile).

B Stirling castle

From Edinburgh we will go to our first destination, travelling through the landscapes of the most important battles of the Scottish Wars of Independence, known to the general public for the film Braveheart (or Brave Heart) by Mel Gibson. We will thus visit Stirling Castle, from which we can see the William Wallace Monument in the Throne Room and we will visit the favorite palace of the Stuart dynasty, apart from Mary, Queen of Scotland.

Admission ticket to Stirling Castle is not included in the price of the tour and it has to be booked in advance by the customer. Please contact us and we will help you.

The distillery is not running tours until the 17/05.

C Distillery

At our next stop we will discover the secrets of whiskey making. The guided tour of the distillery will end with a tasting so that you can enjoy the authentic taste of Scotch whiskey.

Entrance to the distillery is not included in the price of the tour.

D Saint Andrews

Once in Saint Andrews, the patron saint of Scotland, we can enjoy the scenery of the county of Fife, located on the eastern coast of the country. The mountains and valleys of this town are home to the best golf courses and clubs in all of Scotland and, of course, the British Museum of Golf, next to the Old Course. The first thing we will do is a panoramic tour of the city to show you everything that can be visited: its cathedral, its castle, its golf course, its beaches and its most outstanding streets. It will therefore be the ideal time to have lunch.

Although Saint Andrews is known to be the birthplace of golf, it is its University that occupies most of the historic center of the city. Together with its Cathedral, both buildings will be two of the tourist attractions for which you will have to take time to visit. Finally, we can enjoy a walk along the impressive beaches of the North Sea to appreciate the coastal beauty of the country.

E The Forth bridges viewpoint

On our way back to Edinburgh we have time for one last stop before the end of the tour. The Forth bridges viewpoint where you can take the best view of the 3 impressive bridges that connect Edinburgh and South of Scotland with Inverness, Aberdeen and the Highlands.

Special point of interest is the railway bridge, which enjoyed being the longest bridge of its time (in the 19th century) and later incorporated into the World Heritage Site.

F Hanover Street (New Town, Edimburgo)

After a day of emotions and anecdotes, we will head back to Edinburgh.

I would recommend this tour to everyone who wants to have a nice day out in nature and not to bother with the car.

if you want to explore locations not far from Edinburgh. We also took the Loch Ness tour, much more hours inside the bus than this one.
