Begin your adventure to Loch Ness right from the heart of Edinburgh! We’ll meet at 190 High Street and from there, head north towards the Highlands. Along the way, we’ll pass near Stirling, where you can admire the majestic silhouette of Stirling Castle and the Monument to William Wallace, Scotland’s national hero, from the bus window.
Immerse yourself in Scotland’s natural beauty as we cross the Trossachs National Park. After leaving the charming town of Callander, we’ll make a short stop at Kilmahog, the gateway to Loch Lomond and the Trossachs. And don’t forget to keep an eye out—this is often the best chance to spot the famous Highland cows, with their long horns and shaggy coats!
Kilmahog & Rannoch Moor
“Prepare to be captivated by the rugged beauty of the Scottish Highlands. Our journey will take us through a spectacular landscape of towering mountains, serene lochs, and green valleys until we reach the mysterious Rannoch Moor.
There, we will venture into one of Scotland’s most iconic places: the Glencoe valley. This valley, shrouded in a magical atmosphere, hides a turbulent history of clans and conflicts. You will have the opportunity to capture the majesty of the ‘Three Sisters,’ three mountain peaks that rise imposingly over the valley.
Movie buffs can try to identify backdrops from famous films. Glencoe has served as the setting for memorable scenes in Harry Potter and James Bond, among other productions.
Three Sisters Viewpoint
At the Three Sisters viewpoint, you’ll be able to admire its famous mountain peaks.
Commando Memorial (optional stop)

Before reaching Loch Ness, we will stop at the Commando Memorial. This monument pays tribute to the courage and dedication of the elite troops who trained in the Highlands during World War II. And if the weather permits, we will enjoy a privileged view from there of Ben Nevis, the giant of the British mountains.
Fort Augustus & Loch Ness Cruise
Our next stop is Fort Augustus, where the Caledonian Canal meets Loch Ness. Here you’ll have free time to explore, grab a bite, or join the optional 1-hour Loch Ness cruise for a chance to search for the legendary Nessie.

Inverness
In Inverness, you can stroll through the historic Old Town, with its cobblestone streets and buildings steeped in history. Don’t miss the imposing Inverness Cathedral, with its Gothic architecture rising on the banks of the River Ness. And of course, enjoy a relaxing walk along the river, where you can admire the colorful houses and lush greenery. Inverness will captivate you with its unique atmosphere and rich cultural heritage.
Pitlochry
Finally, we will arrive in Pitlochry, a charming Victorian town with a cozy atmosphere. You will have free time to stroll through its picturesque streets, discover its traditional shops, and recharge your batteries at one of its coffee shops or try the famous whisky ice cream, before heading back to Edinburgh.
Return to Edinburgh
The journey back will treat you to a breathtaking visual spectacle: the transition from the majestic Highlands, with their towering mountains and deep valleys, to the rolling hills and fertile plains of the Lowlands.
Furthermore, you will cross the Firth of Forth, where you can admire a 19th-century engineering marvel: the Forth Bridge, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Once back in the Scottish capital, you will have the opportunity to explore its historical and cultural treasures, after our guide provides you with information on what to see and do.

It was definitely a long day and many hours on the bus, but if you want to get to Inverness and Loch Ness, there are no shortcuts - there is a geographical aspect that is impossible to overcome; there are great distances to travel from Edinburgh. It was a comfortable bus though and enough stops to make it a wonderful day. Would recommend it, and it was lovely to have some time at Loch Ness (we did not take the boat tour because then we would not have had any time to explore the shops and environment around). We also got around 1,5 hours in Inverness; of course, it would have been amazing to be able to stay longer, but it is understandable that it was not so much time because we needed to get back to Edinburgh also. A tip is to have food with you so you do not need to spend time at restaurants during the stops. If we had made the mistake of not bringing food, it would not have been as nice because then much of the time out from the bus would have gone to finding somewhere to eat and eating.%u2019 We got earphones when we were seated on the bus that our guide spoke through during the trip. Totally amazing that, in total, I think we spent around 8 hours on the bus and our guide, Tom, spoke about Scotland and everything on the way during around 7 hours of that time. I would have lost my voice or fainted if I were speaking non-stop for so long! %uD83D%uDE0A My best recommendations!
