Edinburgh Hop on Hop Off – Sightseeing tour
Discover Edinburgh through the streets, the characters, the monuments and the views that have earned it the title of World Heritage Site. With the Edinburgh Tourist Bus you will visit the Old Town and the New Town (where the Botanical Garden is located), reaching the port of Leith. There are three options to choose from:
- TOURIST BUS – CITYSIGHTSEEING – RED LINE: If you want to focus more on the well-known Old Town, this is the bus that we recommend.
- TOURIST BUS – MAJESTIC TOUR – BLUE LINE: If you want to explore a little beyond the old town, this is the best option. It will also bring you anywhere near Old Town.
- TOURIST BUS – EDINBURGH TOUR – GREEN LINE: In case you want to focus on knowing the most representative buildings, then opt for this option.
This bus departs daily from the Waverley Station Bridge and runs for an hour, but you can use it for an entire day during operating hours. Also remember that you can get off and on at any of its stops to explore the areas you visit.
We recommend starting the itinerary at the Waverley Station Bridge. Departures are made every 15 or 30 minutes depending on the time of year.

I think it is a very comfortable way to get to know the city, especially if you go with people who cannot walk much.
Roger Griffith
On this tour you can a good part of the city if you do not have many days in Edinburgh. In our case, we were only 2 days in the city and it takes you to areas far from the center that are worth visiting.
Edna
It is very good as a contact with the city and to help orient yourself in the city and then decide to take a walking tour or visit one of the monuments that have caught your attention.
Jane
My children loved going upstairs, so they were happy all day. Also, being long enough on the bus did not tire and the older ones were able to enjoy without too many complaints.
Alistair Donaldson
We had a great time, although it was very cold, but it gets along quite well because the city is beautiful.
